MEET THE BLOGGER & Shop owner

Hi, I’m Katie!

I’m the woman behind Just a Little Kitsch, the online vintage inspired kitschy gift shop and craft blog. I sell all kinds of vintage inspired gifts and decorations including party banners, gift tags, ornaments, and lots and lots of stickers. I also write blog posts sharing fun craft tutorials and inspiration to help you make your vintage crafting dreams come true.

My creations are filled with vintage nostalgia, adorable animals, kitschy aesthetics and are often mixed in with unhinged humor, positivity, and swear words.

In a world filled with all kinds of devastations and injustices, I believe that choosing whimsy, joy, humor, and beauty are some of the most powerful acts of rebellion we have.

I also offer fun freebies related to my craft projects and I send emails via my email list so that you can stay up to date with my latest products and blog posts, get behind the scenes peeks on what I’m working on, and get exclusive crafting tips and other downloadable freebies only available to my email subscribers.

My creations are a combination of vintage nostalgia and kitschy and girly aesthetics,

Why I do what I do

Just a Little Kitsch started on Etsy in late 2023 when I decided to start selling my vintage themed holiday pipe cleaner ornaments just for fun. I told myself that this would just be a little fun side income to fund my crafting hobby, and it wasn’t until over a year later during the Valentines season of 2025 when I sold more ornaments than ever before that I finally realized I need to take my craft selling seriously and stop trying to build a career as a Pinterest manager, which I’d realized I wasn’t actually enjoying.

Since then, I’ve been expanding my shop to include more products outside of those little pipe cleaner ornaments. I bought my first Cricut machine, I’ve learned how to create cute little vintage inspired illustrations using AI, and both of those things have become a big part of crafting creation process. It brings me so much joy when my customers tell me they love my creations, and it means a lot knowing that something I made is continuing to bring someone joy for years to come.

A little about me…

Ever since I was a teenager, I’ve been drawn to vintage aesthetics, (I blame my mom and grandma for getting me into old movies), and I’ve always been such a girly girl. Pink has and will forever be my favorite color. For years, I did a ton of pet sitting, and I’ve always loved animals – which you can clearly see in many of my products.

I’m a proud 5th generation Florida woman, and an unofficial Disney princess with a touch of redneck. I love getting all glammed up, and I’m also all about roughing it in the woods on a hike or a long road trip in my van. My tuxedo cat, Kitty, is my ride or die little buddy and the sweetest little boy. I have a foul mouth and a raunchy sense of humor, and I enjoy combining both of those qualities in some of the stickers that I create.

At ‘Just a Little Kitsch’ I show you how to create all kinds of vintage and whimsical crafts, most of which are inspired by the 1950’s, 1960’s, and the 1970’s. From pipe cleaner ornaments, to putz houses and paper flowers, I love creating beautiful things that bring myself and others joy. Ever since I was young, I was always drawn to vintage aesthetics (I blame it on my childhood obsession with American girl dolls and historical fiction). As an adult, I’ve enjoyed wearing vintage fashion, doing vintage hairstyles, and making vintage crafts (especially holiday crafts). In sharing my craft tutorials, I hope to give you the inspiration to start creating your own vintage themed crafts!
