Hi, I’m Katie!

I’m the woman behind Just a Little Kitsch, the online vintage inspired kitschy gift shop and craft blog. I sell vintage and pet themed gifts and decorations including party banners, gift tags, ornaments, stickers, craft kits, and more. I also write blog posts sharing fun craft tutorials and inspiration to help you make your vintage and whimsical crafting dreams come true.

My creations are filled with vintage nostalgia, adorable animals, kitschy aesthetics and are often mixed in with unhinged humor, positivity, and a few swear words.. just for fun 😉

I also offer fun freebies related to my craft projects and I send emails via my email list so that you can stay up to date with my latest products and blog posts, get behind the scenes peeks on what I’m working on, and get exclusive crafting tips and other downloadable freebies only available to my email subscribers.

My why

Just a Little Kitsch started on Etsy in late 2023 when I decided to start selling my vintage themed holiday pipe cleaner ornaments just for fun. I told myself that this would just be a fun little hobby where I could make some extra money. It wasn’t until over a year later that I finally realized I needed to start selling my crafts seriously and stop trying to build a career as a Pinterest manager (which I wasn’t enjoying at all).

Since then, I’ve been expanding my shop to include more products outside of those little pipe cleaner ornaments. I bought my first Cricut machine, I’ve learned how to create cute little vintage inspired illustrations using AI, and both of those things have become a big part of crafting creation process. It brings me so much joy when my customers tell me they love my creations, and it means a lot knowing that something I made is continuing to bring someone joy for years to come.

In a society that overvalues productivity, and when it can be so easy so easy to forget to laugh and have fun, I believe that spreading joy, beauty, whimsy, and humor are some of the most powerful acts of peaceful resistance that we have. At the heart of everything I do with Just a Little Kitsch, that’s what I desire to do. And as simple as it is, I believe that’s exactly what the world needs.

A little about me…

Ever since I was a teenager, I’ve been drawn to vintage aesthetics, (I blame my mom and grandma for getting me into old movies), and I’ve always been such a girly girl. Pink has and will forever be my favorite color. I grew up admiring actresses such as Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly. I wore whatever so called ‘weird’ vintage outfits I wanted in high school and never let anyone’s opinion on what I was wearing phase me. In addition to vintage fashion, I’ve also fallen in love with vintage themed craft projects, hence this whole blog and shop I’m running.

In addition to selling my crafts, I’m also a pet sitter, a Florida woman, a proud owner of a spoiled tuxedo cat named Kitty, a Leo Sun, and an avid mistruster of the government who questions everything and who believes the best way to fuck the system is to live with a combination of radical joy, love, authenticity, and sovereignty. When I’m not working on craft projects, writing blog posts, or hanging out with adorable animals, you’ll find me meditating, hitting a trail, adventuring in my van, checking out a cafe, or swimming at a Florida beach or spring.
